A Little Bit About Me
My name is Chris Richardson and before I made the trek to the Midwest, I used to be with WebProNews.com. I’ve covered the search engine industry and the blogosphere for about 5 years now and now it’s time to combine these interests with my passion for sports.

I am a slobbering University of Kentucky fan… and yes, said fanhood does extend beyond basketball. Although, as I learned a while back at LaGuardia Airport, if UK fans wear any UK gear in during the college football season, apparently it’s because UK beat LSU…

Yeah, because, as a UK football fan, I’ve never had to sit through one second of mediocrity or downright embarrassment (yes, please Bill Curry. Run the option with a freshman Tim Couch in the Swamp against a coach who lives to destroy you). Nope, I only came out when Woodson and company started winning.

Sigh.

You get killed for sticking with a losing team and when the do start to win; you get called a bandwagon fan… anyway, I digress.

This blog is not going to be focused on UK. I will cover them when it’s a prominent story, but I’ll spare you my post-UK game wrap-ups… unless it’s championship time.

I’m also a fan of the Cincinnati Bengals. I’ll just let that one lie. Sexy offense, dead defense… Pretty to look at but not much substance… yes all of those are true about a team whose defense is less attractive than Tyrone Prothro’s ankle injury.

All I’ll say is if they don’t draft defense every round next year, maybe it is time for Marvin Lewis to feel some heat… that is, if the Brown family even cares. I mean, what does that say about your management when there are college teams with better defenses than your professional offering? I will say this though, in the land of the Kansas City Chiefs, being a Bengals fan is kinda fun; even when they lost to KC a few weeks ago. Helping generate little rivalries you can participate in is part of being a sports fan.

I hope this little explanation gives you an idea of what type of content you can expect here. If I start to ramble, by all means, slap me back into being more economical with my stuff. I’m looking forward to bringing you sports from my perspective. I just hope you’re ready for it.

Stay tuned.
