We’re here. UNLV won’t back down from Kansas, either. And what about Washington State. If this keeps up, they’ll quietly have two of the more impressive victories in the tournament.
Let’s do this second half.
7:10 - Trent Johnson = gone. Whoa. Just found out about that. He was out on the court though…
7:12 - OK Marquette, what do you have?
7:16 - I think modern day college basketball is a little too fast for Dick Enberg… I mean, he’s a very nice person as an announcer but it’s a little like Pat Summerall.
7:23 - Greg Gumbel said Notre Dame came storming back after being down 14. They are currently down 11. If they cut it to 8, it might be the greatest comeback ever… according to Greg.
They were down 9 when he said it.
7:27 - 17 now. This is Normandy-like.
7:30 - Kansas can’t quite shake UNLV. Better hope they don’t start hittin’ 3s. In other news, is there some sort of Stanford/Marquette, f***-you rivalry that exists we didn’t know about?
I mean, these two teams are all over each other.
7:39 - Why is Chris Paul in a No-Cinderellas commercial? His best Wake Forest team lost in the second round… To West Virginia, a team who owns ACC schools in the second round.
7:42 - Notre Dame has 37 points. For the game. A game that has about 2 and half minutes left in it. WTH happened there?
7:45 - KC is showing the Kansas game, naturally. However, Marquette/Stanford is a much better game… and it’s almost over.
Oh look, they switched; begrudgingly, I’m sure.
7:49 - If Marquette wins, the UK loss won’t feel so bad… Oh who am I kidding?
7:50 - Those bastards switched back to Kansas/UNLV… and back again. Get it right, folks.
Robin Lopez is going to miss the second one. I stand corrected.
Overtime.
7:56 - In two games, Washington State has held their opponents to 81 combined points. Defense wins championships and if they continue to hold people to 40.5 points… Well, you figure it out.
Winthrop, I can understand, but Notre Dame?
8:05 - Brook Lopez just hit a damn difficult shot. NBA time? Annnnnnnnnnd, Stanford survives.
8:08 - UNLV is 4 of 20 from 3. Dying by 3, part 2.
8:12 - Kansas should finish up… Unless 4 of 20 starts hitting, which is doubtful. Only two games tonight: UCLA/Texas A&M and Pitt/Michigan State. Who ya got?
