A picture speaks a thousand words, as do shooting stats like these: 26.7% from the field, 18.5% from behind the 3-point line. And with that, Duke has, yet again, been put out of the tournament by a lower-seeded team. From a Villanova supporters perspective (the 700 Level), even in defeat, the Blue Devils got more attention from Billy and Verne than the dominant Wildcats did. Whatever the case, there’s no denying Villanova was head-and-shoulders above Duke last night and rightfully moved on to face Pitt on Saturday with a chance to go to the Final Four on the line.
