Even though they have a high ranking in the polls, not many college basketball watchers took the Duke Blue Devils very seriously (guilty), that is, until now. Coach K’s crew of jump shooters and perimeter players went into Chapel Hill and handed the Ty Lawson-less Tar Heels a convincing 89-79 loss.

It was the Greg Paulus/Kyle Singler/Jon Scheyer show as the Blue Devils trio combined for 49 points and were part of a Duke attack that put six players in double figures.

Needless to say, the Tarheel Nation isn’t feeling too spry about the loss, something Jackie Manuel’s Posse does a great job of relaying:

That was very, very painful. To beat Dook without Tywon we would have had to play almost perfectly. We played well but Dook was always in control of the game because we just could not match them without easy fast-break points. Some feel we didn’t play well and surely Wayne and Danny will rarely shoot that poorly. The free throws misses were also troubling…

Sorry Carolina fans. Maybe this will cheer you up:

Ballhype: hype it up! Stumble it!

Cheers for the link. The 2007-08 UNC basketball team is good, but not quite as good as we had hoped in October. We miss Wright and Terry, especialy on defense. We’ll have to outscore teams in March. With Lawson, we have a shot at that. Dook are for real but they are still a bunch of ftards Hopefully a bad shooting night leads to Paulus tears.

I still have doubts about Duke because they are a jump shooting team. The moment they go cold, they’ll lose to a VCU again…

That would make my day to see Dookie lose against anybody!!!!!

    Duke sucks. (obligatory)
