The Buckeyes of O-H-I-O kept their slim NCAA Tournament hopes alive last night by dispatching 15th-ranked Purdue, 80-77 in overtime. Ohio State was led by Jamar Butler’s 25 points, 23 of which came in the second half.
As indicated, the victory puts OSU at 18-12 (9-8), keeping their Big Dance dreams alive; however, their performance in the Big Ten tournament will probably determine their fate. The Purdue win also ended the Buckeyes’ 4-game losing streak.
