More Jodie Meeks Celebration

Congrats, Jodie

UKAthletics.com has a nice little celebration image for Jodie Meeks and his record-breaking performance last night. Bonus: It came against the Vols. There’s nothing like going off in a basketball game, or so I’m told. I can’t imagine how good it feels to do it against a rival that can’t seem to keep their mouths shut–even when you are lighting their asses up.

[Meeks] swished the first and offered a news update to [Bobby] Maze, who stood along the lane watching.

“Fifty.”

(Kentucky forward Patrick Patterson said Tennessee’s players yapped all game, despite the napalming put on them. “I wouldn’t be talking at all,” Patterson said. “My mouth would be shut. Especially when a guy’s got 54 in your own gym. They can talk all they want. Jodie’s shots speak for themselves.”)

Why on earth would you flap the gums when the best player from your biggest rival is in your gym, stomping a mud hole in your ass and walking it dry? Maybe Bobby “Don’t Call Me A.I.” Maze was simply jealous. Jealous of the fact that he knew he’d never have a game like Meeks had last night. A quick look at Maze’s jump shot tells that tale.

That’s just funny. I can’t wait ’til we play them at Rupp. “Sixty” ;)

I just don’t understand the purpose of talking yang while an opponent is lighting you up like the Fourth of July. Dumb. Just dumb.

what happened to maze’s cute a.i. arm sleeve?

  4. Chris Says:

It got burnt up when he was trying to “guard” Meeks — if, by guard, I mean standing near when Meeks was shooting. And I do.
