Mario Chalmers Lives (John Calipari)

The NCAA is trying to tell you, thanks to John Calipari/Derrick Rose’s SAT debacle, that the Mario Chalmers shot didn’t really happen — even if you think it did. Sorry if you’ve got video footage to back your claim up. It still didn’t happen. Although, try telling that to all the Kansas fans in the video who spontaneously exploded
I guess if you turn the video’s sound off while looking away, you’ll get the NCAA’s desired effect.
In other news, Calipari’s favorite method of communicating — Twitter — has been pretty silent about the NCAA’s ruling. Mind you, that doesn’t mean he isn’t tweeting, because he is, discussing the upcoming release of Kentucky’s basketball schedule and other items of minutiae. There is, however, a little piece of uplifting positivity, in the form of a quote:

Take that, NCAA. You can’t observe Calipari. Only Calipari can observe Calipari.
After all is said and done, Calipari had better hope John Wall doesn’t have any academic issues that need to be looked over. While getting a Final Four stripped in Memphis seems like a big deal, it pales when compared to Kentucky and the schools voracious fanbase. If Calipari got a Final Four or a National Championship stripped in Lexington, his blue carpet welcome would be worn out in a hurry.

I love all the “Calipari is crooked” talk going on…
