John Holland of Boston U brought the house down against Vermont U last night with a nasty little jam. In fact, if you watch the video, the dunk actually gave Boston U the lead, 23-20 — but if you look at the final score, Vermont – 75, Boston – 47, you’ll notice after Holland’s throw down, his team was outscored 55-24 the rest of the way. Apparently, him dunking like that pissed off the entire Vermont squad and so they decided to put a holy beatdown on Boston as punishment.

This could be one of those times a dunk backfired and caused the opposing team to rub faces in the sand; although, looking at BU’s record (14-10), the truth is, Vermont is just a better team. Props to Holland on the nice dunk though. Too bad it didn’t count as a 30-point basket.
