Billy has more than enough talent to be better than 8-6 in an average SEC. And no, not everyone loved him last year. Just look at the Gardner-Webb game, among others. People were excited about the fact he’s known as a recruiter, but the fact is, no one was sure of his bench coaching ability and now that we are two seasons into his tenure, Gillispie hasn’t done much to address these concerns.

Billy Gillispie is a fantastic coach and Kentucky is lucky to have him. He will bring us lots of wins. Last year everyone loved him even though they thought he had no one who could play. This year they think the players are no good and they hate Billy even though he will win more games this year than last year. The administration backs Billy and they are right to do so.

Mike S., amen brah! I’ve tried to keep an open mind about BCG but it just isn’t working. I have to admit I was fairly happy when I heard he was coming to UK but not ecstatic. I really think we could’ve gotten a better coach if our piss poor AD wasn’t in such a GD hurry to appease our fan base. It really goes back to Barnhart. He absolutely sucks ass. And yes, WE NEVER SHOULD HAVE LET TUBBY GO!!!! I hope all these racist pricks around here are happy. I was a Tubby fan through it all. I mean 5 SEC titles including a 16-0 record in 2003, 5 SEC tourney titles, 6 Sweet Sixteens, 5 Elite Eights, and a national title and all the while averaging 26 WINS PER YEAR was fine with me. Not to mention he is an absolute CLASS ACT. Im honest when I say I kinda hope we get in the tourney and Minnesota whips our ass. It would suck because I bleed Big Blue but I would LOVE to see it for Tubby. This is an absolute travesty. I really do hope BCG gets it together and makes me eat my words but I just don’t see it. I gotta go puke. L8r.

Mike, that sentiment is all around Lexington from what I'm hearing. At least the dislike for Gillispie. He was apparently arrogant to Mike Leach last night as well. I'm glad I missed it entirely. Both games in this post, actually. /Not an MU fan either.

UK is doomed! Billy G IS NOT the right guy for UK. He is an arrogant ass. Never should have let Tubby go. Also we need a coach from Kentucky. Billy G does not care. My 2 cents.
