Quan Cosby’s Game Winner

Now that’s the way you end your collegiate career: By scoring the game-winning touchdown that catapults your team to a Fiesta Bowl victory. Not only that, but your touchdown puts Texas in the thick of the National Championship decision and it goes a long way towards relieving any hard feelings leftover from the Michael Crabtree incident.

For what it’s worth — probably not too much to Buckeye fans, but here it’s worth a try — the Buckeyes represented themselves quite nicely in a game where many thought Texas would steamroll, myself included. Does that take away the pain of losing? Probably not, but it does give Ohio State hope for next year, especially with another year of Terrelle Pryor. If Beanie Wells comes back for his senior year, OSU will be right back in the thick of the BCS next season.

Maybe then they can win a BCS bowl for the Big 10.

As for Texas, while they are losing some of their weapons to graduation and the NFL (Orakpo, Cosby for starters), Colt McCoy and his hot girlfriend will be back in Austin for the 2009 season. That alone should get the Longhorn hopes up and running in overdrive.

way to leave school- I’ll give the ‘horns that. But the so called picture perfect ending was not worth it to see the Buckeyes try so hard and have it destroyed in the end…. damn 2-pt conversions.

About 2-point conversions, it’s true. If you miss one, you are chasing that dragon the rest of the game.
