Laure Manaudou is a successful swimmer for the French Olympic team, holding the world record in the 200m and 400m freestyle. However, she’s about to become a lot more famous and her ability in the water is only part of the reason why. As pointed out by Epic Carnival, naked pictures of Manaudou have turned up on the Internet (extremely NSFW) and as expected, she’s none to happy about it and is blaming her ex-boyfriend, Luca Marin.

Naturally, Marin denied being the one who leaked this images.

WithLeather (who provided the link to the forum) reveals the two had a public fight on Sunday during the European Championships. The incredibly explicit images of Manaudou turned up a few hours later.

Considering the content of these pics, it’s easy to see why Manaudou is upset they were made public. However, what recourse does she have now that they are out there? Sure, she can cease and desist the sites she finds her pics on, but that won’t do anything to the scores of people who have already downloaded them (not guilty ).

The French Sports Minister (sounds like a choice gig… does the US have one of those?) came to the defense of Manaudou and shared his thoughts on the matter:

“I find this destabilization campaign shameful,” Laporte told Europe-1 radio. “I hope we find those who acted in this hateful way and that they will be punished because they deserve to be punished.”

When are people going to learn? If you value your privacy, don’t use a digital camera when you decide to get freaky. Although, this is not the first time Manaudou has had issues with images on the web. Remember her see-through swimsuit?
