Is Anna Kournikova Even In Sports Anymore?

Yes, I get it. She’s hot. But if you are doing a list of the 50 Hottest Women in SPORTS, does she belong anywhere near that list? The folks at Pop Crunch think so but I’m not sure if I agree. Yes, Anna got her start in Professional Tennis, but she was about as successful in that endeavor as I was in the men’s draw (Yeah, I took out Federer).
Now, having Anna make an appearance is just fine; I mean, she is one of the founding fathers (mothers?) of sports hotties, but that doesn’t mean she has any business being awarded a number one ranking, especially now that the sports hottie revolution is in full swing. Also, don’t cheerleaders like Romi Bean deserve their own category? You know, something like this? Or this?
Alas, I suppose the dissecting of sports hottie lists is pretty nitpicky, but is it wrong to expect more from lists featuring pictures of half-naked athletes (or in Anna’s case, socialites)… although, the inclusion of Daniela Cicarelli is acceptable.

Anna doesn’t play tennis anymore – not according to wikipedia.
To quote shes not fully fit yet (whatever fit means in Anna’s case).

“but she was about as successful in that endeavor as I was in the men’s draw”
You must have been pretty freakin’ good then!
She made it up to #8 in the world in Singles and #1 in doubles.
Not too shabby at all!
And I also have to agree with popcrunch.. “She is hot beyond what we thought was possible….”

Maybe she could, you know, win something next time. I mean she’s hot, no question but she used tennis to launch her primary career.
