US Open: Day Two

Yes, Ian Poulter’s pants are incredible… and with that, welcome to Day Two of the US Open. Currently, there are only eight golfers under par, with Rocco Mediate’s -3 being the highest, I mean lowest score. In case you are curious, Tiger Woods is scheduled to tee off right about know and it looks like he’ll be paired with Woody Austin.
From what I’ve been hearing, the cut is expected to be around +9 or so, meaning Torrey Pines is playing really tough today. Must be that thick rough. As it stands, Tiger is only four strokes back and Phil’s only three. Can we expect these two to continue dominating the story (the answer will be a resounding “yes” if they shoot low scores today) or will Mediate and the rest of the tour that’s actually under par in this tournament be able to hold them off?
Should be a great weekend for golf. And soccer/futbol. And the NBA Finals.

Tiger 3 putted the first hole, which is not the best way to start out. From how the course seems to be playing, the approach shots will be key to scoring low….and needless to say….stay in the fairway and out of the rough. I know plenty about playing out of the rough!
