Beer Cup Fun

Our heroes of the plastic cup/dollar beer night have struck again, and the results are, much like their last effort, golden. In case you missed it, a couple of weeks ago, a few blogger friends went to Thirsty Thursday Lexington Legends game where dollar beers flow like run-off from a snowy mountain during the first thaw, which led to a lot of empty Solo cups. Instead of throwing them away, the guys from The Horace Grant Halftime Report decided they’d let their artistic side — coupled with the spirit of a seasoned heckler — show through.

The results were glorious, as well as “get kicked out of the stadium” inducing. Well, I’m happy to report our creative hecklers have returned for an encore performance, and while the result may not be as awe-inspiring as their ode to Number 8, it’s still pretty damn nifty — and much to the delight of the beer cup gang, they got kicked out again.

Awesome.

I am, however, a little surprised the folks at Applebee’s Park haven’t moved their status from “paying fan” to “permanently banned.” Oh well. More fun for us. Personally, I can’t wait to see what they have planned for their next visit. One-upping yourself isn’t the easiest of tasks, especially when your first two efforts were so great.

Gotta love those minor league baseball fans. The promotions and fans are what make the those games come alive.

Yes, indeed, although, I’m wondering if the AP staff is reconsidering their dollar beer strategy.

    ;)
