Andris Biedrins Elevates Nene

Well, over him, anyway.
Fans might want to take the opportunity to get to know Andris Biedrins, a 6-11 center for the Golden State Warriors. As you might imagine, Biedrins began his basketball career in FIBA before making his way to the United States. Now he’s up in the big time, getting his turn at bat. As long as he dunks, he’ll have a job, baby, and there ain’t nothing wrong with that.
While the Warriors are probably more famous for the player that got away than for the ones on the roster, ignoring what Biedrins brings to the table — besides his current double-double average — will result in your head getting dunked on. After watching a good deal of the second half last night, I must confess the Golden State Warriors are still a fun team to watch. While their line-up usually consists of Biedrins and four perimeter players, they attack, attack, attack. Furthermore, if Biedrins keeps these gaudy numbers up — 16 and 14 — he’ll be making yearly appearances on the NBA’s All Star team.
