Big Baby’s Shot Spawns Sore Losers

Besides giving the Celtics some much-needed life — a 3-1 deficit would be daunting for many teams — Glen “Big Baby” Davis also ruffled some feathers thanks to his post-shot celebration. While he was running back to the Celtics’ bench, Davis celebrated by screaming loudly about his accomplishments. Unfortunately, he also came into contact with younger Orlando Magic fan, and while he didn’t shove him out of the way in some egregious manner, the contact did cause the younger fan to stumble.
Unfortunately, it also created a sore spot for the child’s parent, and said parent wants revenge. Or an apology. In a tersely worded email, Orlando Magic fan Ernest Provetti voiced his displeasure with Big Baby’s post-shot antics, something Provetti missed entirely, judging by the video and the animated gif.

Regardless of Provetti’s vantage point, he is “sore-loser” incensed and isn’t afraid to resort to some borderline-racist terms to describe what he saw:
In the e-mail, Provetti said Davis conducted himself like a “raging animal with no regard for fans’ personal safety.”
Provetti continued on about a perceived double-standard where players are allowed to cross the boundary, but if fans do it, their tickets are revoked. I’m still fuzzy on how Provetti is aware of Davis’ actions, considering the fact he was too upset about the shot to notice his son being run over by a “raging animal.”
In fact, perhaps the only thing Provetti accomplished with his butthurt-filled tirade was establishing himself as a sore loser who will use his son as a way to get some retribution.
Or maybe it’s just me.

He’s lucky that Big Baby didn’t shove him out of the way…you can see the ref cowering in fear. The fact is, the kid was in Big Baby’s way. That’s his bad. All he did was touch him for goodness sakes. Who doesn’t notice Big Baby falling backward right next to you? Seriously? I would assume the floor would shake in that area…lol.
