Charles Barkley Goes Out With A Bang

The saying is, “If you are going to go, go all out,” and because of LeBron forced departure — thanks to the Orlando Magic — it was also time for the TNT NBA team to pack up their things and leave as well… Last broadcast of the season and all that. No doubt understanding this, too, Charles Barkley decided he’d let everybody get a taste of the good cheer he brings to TNT’s broadcasts. First off, Barkley informs us that Kenny Smith’s nether regions must be cold by calling him “numb nuts.”

But he doesn’t stop there.

No, after he’s done with Smith, Barkley turns his attention to a producer Ernie Johnson is complimenting, and if I’m not mistaken, he likens said producer to something feline — something that similar to the word “fussy,” if you will. This, in turn, elicits a fantastic reaction from Reggie Miller, making everything worthwhile. While there’s some confusion on what Barkley actually said, I’m sticking with the “hussy, but not” explanation, if, for nothing else, because Miller’s awesome reaction fits better with the feline context than it does with a more simpler “he was saying ‘bullshit’” explanation.

And with that, another season closes on the TNT broadcast booth, giving us an opportunity to thank the parties involved. We are a better people with Charles, Kenny and Ernie in our lives.
