Devin Harris And His Most Excellent Miracle

Devin Harris must be living right, because not much else can explain that insane game-winning shot he hit last night against the 76ers. After some Andre Igoudala free throws, Harris received the ball with 1.8 seconds on the clock and streaked up the left sideline, with Igoudala in tow. Once he got the midcourt area, Harris tried to launch his prayer, but the ball hit Iggie, almost causing a turnover. However, Harris recovered the ball and fired it just as the game clock expired.

Nothing but net.

Needless to say, the officials had to confer before allowing Harris’ 37th, 38th, and 39th points to be added to the scoreboard. The person you have to feel for is Igoudala. He played perfect defense on Harris as he brought the ball up the court, almost causing a turnover. Once the ball got knocked loose, however, Iggie let up, giving Harris the split nanosecond he needed to fire his prayer.

Had Igoudala tried to knock the ball away when it was loose, the game would’ve been over before Harris had a chance to offer his miracle work.

Not that I’m hatin cause my jaw dropped when I saw it. All that happen in 1.8 seconds? I find that hard to believe. I mean he did more than a certain blue devil who had 2.1 seconds.

Speaking of certain Blue Devils, apparently, the Man that Stomped Aminu Timberlake was on the Dan Patrick Show today and the two discussed a reality show with said Blue Devil hanging out in Kentucky with a Duke jersey on. I don’t think it would last more than one or two episodes because of the disappearance of the show’s lead.

As for Harris, yeah, it does seem like that whole deal would take longer than 1.8, but he still gets props for the way he recovered the ball and shot it all in what looks like one motion. Incredible.
