LeBron Tips

Last month, I featured a post about LeBron James and his apparently abhorrent tipping habits. The story goes something like this, LeBron and a group of friends went to a upscale steakhouse and ran up a tab in the neighborhood of $800. According to the (whiny) report, LeBron’s resulting gratuity was slightly insulting — $10 if you believe the story.

According to the Cleveland Frowns blog, this whole LeBron tipping scandal might have been blown out of proportion; if not completely misrepresented. I’m not going to block quote the article to death — the gist of it is this: the steakhouse in question is supporting LeBron by saying a mistake was made by the serving staff and that LeBron made up for it by having another, more appropriate tip delivered.

Forgive me if this follow-up comes off as damage control on LeBron’s part. If what is being said is true, it sounds like LeBron corrected his oversight after word got out about his tipping habits. Whatever the case, I really hope LeBron enjoys his summer break watching the Lakers or the Celtics win the NBA Title.

Hopefully, he can help lead Team USA to Olympic Gold later this summer.
