Swine Flu Scare Eliminates Handshakes (NBA)

Do you see all of those teammates celebrating Kobe Bryant’s nasty dunk with high fives and handshakes? Yeah, that won’t be going on a lot when the NBA preseason starts, thanks to the growing swine flu scare. According to the Boston Globe, the NBA has issued an anti-handshake directive to help combat the spread of the H1N1 strain. Instead, the NBA suggests fist or chest bumps as opposed to handshakes.
Perhaps the NBA should issue surgical masks for the time being. Also, don’t be surprised if, instead of powered rosin, LeBron James starts throwing hand sanitizer in the air at the beginning of games.
