Adding Insult To Embarrassing Collapses
December 29th, 2008 at 11:32 amBy Chris

During Philadelphia’s emasculation of Dallas yesterday, Eagles defensive end Chris Clemons adding some stiff arm-style insult to the beatdown the Cowboys were enjoying. While doing his part to help Cowboy fans everywhere suffer through the offseason, Clemons collected one of the Cowboys’ bazillion third-quarter fumbles and took it to the Eagles’ end zone, a mere 81 yards in the other direction. During the run back, Cowboys running back, Tashard Choice, decided he wouldn’t give up on the play and tried to run Clemons down, only to be greeted with a Heisman-worthy stiff arm that repelled Choice’s tackling attempt.

If there is one play that sums up the Cowboys 2008 collapse, it’s this one: an opposing defender running free down the sideline while only one Cowboy makes an effort to stop him — “effort” being the key word.
H-t to KSK and the 700 Level for the image.

#$%@ you…Hater. Wait til McFlabb and Coach Obese CHOKE once again in the playoffs. How many SB wins do ya have??

Hater? I didn’t realize the truth … well, hated.

“How many SB wins do ya have??”
the packers have more NFL championships than any team in the league, but that didn’t help their 6-10 year. clinging to past success (and it is well in the past for the cowboys) just shows how desperate you are. but if you really want to talk about choking in the playoffs, when was the last time the cowboys won a game in January?

Once again another dallas fan living in the past….so sad.
December 29th, 2008 at 2:10 pm
And FWIW, I’m not a Philly fan, Swyve. My fanhood belongs to a team that’s just about as bad as the Lions.
Packersss: It sounds like you are describing fans of a certain Southeastern Conference basketball team as well.
December 29th, 2008 at 2:13 pm
Ha! At least they didn’t CHOKE in the game to decide if they got to the playoffs! Oh well, maybe someone can find those over-rated Cowboys AND their overbearing fans some extra tickets… And some tissues, just in case T.O. needs to wipe some tears again this year….
December 29th, 2008 at 2:16 pm
I think the Cowboys should have an hour of tackling drills with their offense practices… it might do them some good.
December 29th, 2008 at 2:18 pm
Seems as though the Cowboys are still lookin’ for “The December to Remember”. Chuck a few of those ChowderHeads Like TO and PacMan, and get some “Team” Players!
December 29th, 2008 at 2:25 pm
HOMO ROMO and his gang of fags.
December 29th, 2008 at 2:56 pm
Cowboys deserved to lose that game. There is so much talent on both sides of the ball that this kind of play is inexcusable. It all boils down to discipline. There’s no one kicking them in the ass or making their lives hell for stupid screwups (Flozell’s penalties?? Romo’s Turnovers??). They need a new Coach. Garret is a great OC but needs to start evolving his play design from season to season.
Yea TO and Pacman have ‘ME ME ME’ issues but I think they can be brought around with the right motivation (aka kick in the ass). Hell look what happened to Randy Moss in NE! Once Belicheck (SP?) got ahold of him he’s not as big of a loud mouth.
Bottom line for me is they need a new Coach. Wade can go back to being a DC. They need someone who will beat them into shape. Until then, Cowboys are doomed to repeat seasons like this.

You should probably look up your facts before posting. The packers don’t have more championships than the steelers, cowboys, or niners who all have five. The packers only have 3, 2 of which coming before the merger of the two leagues and before the superbowl was created. Injuries plagued the cowboys this season and it seemed to me that they were loosing many games they should have won. I don’t want to blame it on Brad Johnson but he might me at fault, along with long time chocking Romo. All in all it was a tough season being in a division like the NFC north or south. The packers on the other hand are in a garbage division and still can’t stay above 500 very long.

Packers – 12 total league championships, this includes 3 super bowls

Green Bay – 12 titles including 3 superbowls.
Perhaps Shane should be the one looking up the facts before posting.

Ronoc beat me to it. damn.
December 29th, 2008 at 4:08 pm
Packers have 3 championships? I don’t even have to look that one up to know that they won the first two SBs and another in 98. That’s not even counting before SB 1. But that’s not the point.
Now that was a great day for all the Cowboy haters. I can’t stand you Cowboy fans that live in the past. I live nowhere near the big D and I can’t tell you how many people are fans because they WERE America’s team. Tired of hearing about the Boys and how great they are. Win a game (in the present) and maybe I will hear your comments.
One more thing……How overrated is Romo?
December 29th, 2008 at 7:03 pm
That’s a good point, how only 1 Cowboy made an effort.
December 29th, 2008 at 7:55 pm
How ’bout them Cowboys! BWAHAHAHA

Green bay won when there was what 6 teams,
December 30th, 2008 at 2:13 am
I’m a Cowboy fan, and with all honesty…the Boys have sucked it up something awful this year. Any true sports enthusiast would admit to that. Still though, the Eagles fans are worse than Boys fans…sure, some live in the past…but to boo Santa Claus? Come on!! In all seriousness, someone needs to kick some “superstar” ass and get their butts in gear.

On Cowboy fans:
Associating past success to today doesn’t prove anything and winning the Superbowl only matters during that season it was won. Yeah the Cowboys were good back in the day but so were the 49ers, Raiders, and Steelers. Do you think the record for the ‘72 Dolphins mattered much last season? The Cowboys fans are the NFL equivalent of Notre Dame fans that think the success of their past means something today, that is if they haven’t already jumped off the bandwagon.
The only thing consistent about the Cowboys throughout their franchise is their reputation for having troubled players i.e. criminals on the team (that get caught). “Who would pick up Michael Vick?” you ask. It couldn’t be more obvious than the Cowboys. He would even have Plaxico to throw to.
Sincerely,
A fan of another overrated former Superbowl Champion

You guys are all missing the point here. Tashard Choice getting hit in the face with a pie is frickin hilarious. Maybe one day the Cowboys will win in December, and the Eagles will find a good receiver…one day

The perfect picture. The Philly Eagles beating up on the Dallas Cokeboys. A stiff arm to the head and a touchdown to boot. It’s time for America to find a new team now that Obama’s in office.
January 2nd, 2009 at 8:51 pm

January 6th, 2009 at 5:37 pm
Hahaha, hysterical! I was dying during that play…As I said in my last blog entry: “…when you pray for the Cowboys, you’re praying for cancer to prevail. Frankly, there’s no room for cancer in the playoffs.” Love the mash-up; I’m right there with you in reminding Cowboys of their misfortunes.
January 8th, 2009 at 6:47 pm
I’m all for this page as I have been a loyal Eagles fan since 1970 and I think we are the true America’s team not Dallas. We may not have a sb ring yet, but we have plenty of championships pre Superbowl. Go Eagles. We are always in the top spots of our division.
Sooner or later it’s gonna happen for us. Good bad or indifferent I’m with them to the end.
It would be nice this year as the Philadelphia Phillies did it and to have two teams from Philly
as champions would just be awesome. Fight Eagles Fight !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
January 16th, 2009 at 10:02 am
