Brett Favre And Packers Share LOLs

When I was making the above motivational poster, a lot of different phrases came to mind — “Look At Me, I’m An Attention Whore” and “I Can Has Headlines” are just two of the many that seem to fit this situation, which just got a whole lot more silly thanks to the webmasters at ESPN. If you look on the index page, the link going to this article is anchored by the text, “Report: Favre sends text message to Packers GM.”
I didn’t realize ESPN was actively channeling Perez Hilton with these wanna-be hip, salacious sounding headlines. What’s next? Can we expect an “OMG! OMG! OMG! Vick files for teh bankruptcy. LOLZ!!!1!1!” headline anytime soon? In fairness, when you consider the situation — Brett Favre and his inexplicable need to be wanted — headlines discussing his text messaging habits are actually appropriate, even for the WWL.
In case you are wondering, here’s the crux of Brett Favre’s latest text message scandal:
But WTMJ-TV in Milwaukee reported Monday that Favre sent a text message to Packers GM Ted Thompson on Saturday — and that Thompson’s reply was that he is on vacation and the two men will have to talk later.
Compelling stuff right there. In other news, it looks like Mister Brett Favre is in the same place Terrell Owens was during that “I can’t turn away from the TV because TO is doing sit-ups in his driveway” offseason he had with the Eagles a few seasons ago — that is, being ESPN’s go-to story when they get tired of talking about baseball.
It looks like ESPN misses the NFL as much as the rest of us do. Oh well. Training camp starts soon so grab your Packers tickets and maybe you’ll get to see Favre one more time.

I say let him play. The Pack will suck with Rodgers. The Packers are gonna be screwed once he sends the letter to the commish..
And I’m not a Packer fan at all.

you really think brett favre wants media attention? the same guy who skips the pro bowl every year because he would rather be at home in mississippi fishing??? i know this is old… but it’s the media who love favre because he’s the best ever. he took a team who had only a couple winning seasons since their titletown years under lombardi and he only had ONE losing season with them! one! aaron rodgers already has as many losing seasons as favre did in his career… G.O.A.T. never threw one pass to a hall of famer. Sterling Sharpe was his Marvin Harrison/Jerry Rice before he got injured for his career!
