I suppose this little nugget of news will be viewed with two very different extremes — Minnesota Vikings fans — save one — are probably disappointed in Favre’s decision to stay retired, seeing how the quarterback position has its share of question marks. Seriously? Brett Favre or Tarvaris Jackson? Not much of a choice there if you ask me. Then there’s the side that is so tired of hearing about Favre, this news comes as a relief more than anything. Let’s not forget the Green Bay fans, who, as of now, don’t have to worry about October 5th or November 1st anymore.

I do have a question, however: Does this news mean we’ll have to have another retirement ceremony for Favre?
