Who Got The Better Name Change?

By now, we’ve all heard about Tampa Bay Buccaneer Greg White’s name change to Stylez G. White, which might be one of the best stories of the year. White’s name change was so dramatic, so cool, it pretty much dwarfed Chad Ocho Cinco’s failed attempt. At least White doesn’t have to worry about pesky jersey alterations. To many, White’s new name is much more impressive than Johnson’s broken Spanish attempt.
But the subject deserves a closer look
Chad Ocho Cinco
Pluses:
* Even though it’s “broken Spanish,” if he wants to be called “Eight Five,” he’s technically correct
* Ocho Cinco looks cool on the back of his jersey
* A brilliant branding scheme
* The Bengals official site recognizes the new name
Minuses:
* It’s still “broken Spanish”
* The aforementioned jersey change issue
* He’s played like absolute garbage since the change
* So has his team
Stylez G. White
Pluses:
* Are you kidding? The name screams “awesome”
* You have an awesome movie character to relate to (questionable language):
* Like you said, no one will forget the name “Stylez”
* No annoying jersey issues to deal with
* Did I mention Teen Wolf?
* Nominee for the best name change ever
Minuses:
* Not a damn thing, man.
Looking at all of the above, it’s pretty easy to see who got the better of the legal name change: The Artist Formerly Known as Greg White. I cannot wait to see the apparel that comes out of the welcoming of Stylez.

I wish they would put the whole name on the back of his jersey next season. I’d buy one and I’m not even a Tampa fan.
