DeSean Jackson

Who is 5-10, 175 pounds and dominates NFL secondaries like they were made out of paper? Judging by the stature listed, truthfully, there’s nobody who should fit that bill, especially in a sport like NFL football. Just don’t tell DeSean Jackson that. Not only is Jackson a bitch for opposing secondaries to cover, he’s also challenging NFL records along the way. With his two eye-popping touchdowns against the New York Giants, the Philadelphia receiver tied the record for most touchdowns over a 50-yard distance with eight.

Again, may I remind you that Jackson is under 6 feet tall and weighs under 200 pounds?

Consider his receiving contemporaries, players like Andre Johnson and Chad Ochocinco. Johnson is a 6-3, 225 pound receiving beast, while Ochocinco measures at 6-1, 192. Between the two, there’s almost 70 pounds worth of weight difference and seven inches worth of height. In fact, when you think of prototypical NFL wide receivers, Johnson and Ochocinco fit that bill to a T. Meanwhile, the diminutive Jackson does not.

But that doesn’t stop him from dominating a game the same way his bigger, stronger counterparts do. Just ask the New York Giants. And YouTube:

Like I was saying: DeSean Jackson = beast. A smaller beast, no doubt, but he’s just as effective as bigger, stronger counterparts. One last thing, however: How in the blue hell did Jackson not get penalized for his backwards jog into the end zone? I thought Roger Goodell and company had strict rules about showing opponents up. Of course, they could always fine Jackson, provided he did enough to offended their archaic sensibilities.
