Jared Allen Helps Carl Peterson Out the Door

Jared Allen

While biding his time in Kansas City, obviously, Vikings defensive end Jared Allen had little use for Carl Peterson. A lot of his animosity probably came from the contract extension issue, although getting 8.8 million for one season after getting franchised isn’t the worst thing that could ever happen to a person.

After signing his one-year offer, Allen was traded to the Minnesota Vikings, where he continues to wreak havoc on opposing quarterbacks and offensive lines (and Matt Schuab’s knee). During one of his multitude of weekly interviews for the Vikings, Allen was asked about his thoughts on Carl Peterson’s resignation. Needless to say, he was quite pleased with the turn of events:

Tim Montemayor: “What are your thoughts about Carl Peterson leaving the Chiefs organization?”

Jared Allen: “(laughing) Later!”

TM: “Come on, is there no love loss there?”

JA: “Absolutely not, you know what I’m saying? I believe in karma. Good things happen to good people. I’ll leave it at that.”

I guess that’s why your knee got rolled a week or so after you cheapshotted Schaub. You know, being a believer in that whole “what comes around, goes around” philosophy.
