Nice Tackle, Jeff Reed

Folks, you are looking at the only touchdown from yesterday’s Cincinnati/Pittsburgh game. Adding insult to regular-season sweeps is kick Jeff Reed’s awesome attempt to bring Scott down. At about the 11-second mark, right when Scott breaks free from the coverage pack, Jeff Reed is waiting on him, acting as a safety on kick off returns. The resulting tackle effort is almost tear-inducing for all parties who watch it. For non Steelers fans, it’s actually something funny to see, so much you, you might laugh yourself to tears. On the other side of the coin, I have little doubt Reed’s attempted tackle — which consisted of, “Hey, you!!! Stop!!!!” — brings tears of sadness to the fans of the Terrible Towel.
Seriously, Jeff? That’s the best you can do? If so, in the future, you might just want to run off the field after you kick the ball. It would have the same result.

Steeler fans will come up with some BS justification of that nice tackle attempt. C’est la vie.
