Chef Ed is a football great? Awesome.

In all seriousness, however, I much prefer when sports journalists are actual journalists by schooling, and have grown tired of the same few tried-and-true phrases overused by the likes of Aikman. “They need to establish an offensive rhythm.” “He’ll break tackles if the defense doesn’t wrap him up.” The list of locker-room drivel goes on…

That said, Buck needs to go back to baseball. He’s actually knowledgeable and his perpetual droning helps fill the ceremonial 5-minutes-per-pitch warmups. I still don’t see why he and Aikman are Fox’s #1 team – I much prefer Moose ‘n Goose.

Nah, biggest day in football is the start of the draft, so we can see who’s going to overpay Darren McFadden to be Ron Dayne circa 2008.

Oh, and anyone who pays $42 for popcorn should have his head examined.
