Speed Goal Scoring

Ah, the dog days of summer. Thank goodness for YouTube videos and nifty little soccer highlights (and the blogs that find them). My first thought after seeing the upcoming video was surprise things like this don’t happen on the pitch more often. It’s not like the opposing defenses are set and into the flow of the game right when the kick-off whistle sounds.

That was like Frank Dux/Kumite record knock-out fast. Do you think that got the defense’s attention? If their heads weren’t in the game after that, they weren’t ever going to be.

Things like this help the summer days go by quicker. For those of you who can’t stand summer because of the light sports menu, just keep telling yourself: It’s almost football season, it’s almost football season, it’s almost football season, it’s almost football season, it’s almost football season… It’s only 52 short days away.

Nice Bloodsport reference. Since you mentioned football season coming up, do you think anyone here will even notice the Summer Olympics?

As a whole, no I do not think the Olympics will be a big player (nice lifelong contract there, NBC); although, there will be folks like me who like watching athletes perform who will watch as much as possible.
