It was a ho-hum 97-76 victory for Team USA against Angola and while there are some things that could be criticized — 3-point defense continues to be largely absent — the outcome was never in doubt. Angola was complete [...]

If you are the coach in the above picture, I’m not sure what you’d make of your team’s 87-76 victory over an undermanned, yet gallant Australian National Team. Dwyane Wade is using these pre-Olympic exhibition games as an opportunity to show he’s fully recovered from the injuries that have plagued him since the Heat won the NBA Championship a few years ago. Judging from these following videos, I think he looks just fine.
First up, we have that nifty windmill/breakaway dunk against Team [...]

The US Basketball invasion of China continued this morning and Team Redeem didn’t disappoint, dispatching the Lithuanians, 120 - 84. Led by a resurgent Dwyane Wade (and a nasty, NASTY windmill alley-oop dunk), the Americans look unstoppable on offense. True, there were some defensive lapses, however, credit Lithuania for knocking down open looks [...]

I rose this morning at 7am CST in order to check out Coach K and the gang take on Turkey and I wasn’t disappointed by what I saw. Led by LeBron’s my-ankle-is-fine 20 point outburst, the team controlled the contest throughout, although there were a few defensive lapses.
However, worries about a lack [...]

You damn right. I said gold medal.
LeBron “Illustrated Man” James has thrown down the gauntlet to the rest of the basketball-playing world by telling them they are playing for the silver and bronze because Team “Dream Team 2.0″ USA is coming out on top, much to the chagrin of some bloggers. Personally, I [...]

Apparently, these things have been known about since January, but obviously, I missed the memo. Nevertheless, these are the Reeboks Yao will be wearing when Chinese Olympic basketball team begins playing (their first game is against Team USA on August 10).
According to beRecruited, the shoes will sell for $150; however, the distribution [...]

While the official USA Basketball Men’s Senior Team roster comes out on Monday, I figured since today is Friday, I’d take a crack at guessing who’s on the roster out and then checking it for accuracy on Monday. Sound like a plan? OK, here’s our shot at the final 12:
1. Kobe Bryant
2. LeBron [...]

Today, Kobe Bryant woke up to mountains of criticism and posts scoffing at the very idea of Bryant and Jordan being mentioned in the same sentence. This comes on the heels of what many thought was a redemptive season for Number 24. The MVP award was a considered a coronation of sorts and [...]
