Balls Of Fury

Did the Balls of Fury movie open up the flood gates for the world of Professional Table Tennis? If the Killerspin’s Spinvitational Table Tennis Championship has anything to say about it, then yes. Yes it did. Coming to Chicago’s McCormick Place’s Grand Concourse, the Spinvitational is a table tennis tournament featuring a who’s who in the world of paddles and hollow, plastic/synthetic balls.

It should be noted Balls of Fury and Killerspin have a hand-in-hand relationship, with Killerspin being the official equipment provider. Killerspin also references the movie in the press release announcing the event… and like any smart marketing exec targeting the sports world should, they focus on the crown jewel of this particular event, Biba Golic (link goes to a Flash site, so you have to navigate to the Killerspin Krew selection), making sure to mention her appearing at Spinvitational.

If you are interested in attending, the first session starts tomorrow at 9:45am. I’ll leave you with a vid of Biba in action on the Best Damn Sports Show Period. She’s incredible at her sport… and her accent is incredible as well. Enjoy.
